Mr. Joseph Kusi-Tieku

He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from the University of Ghana, Legon and an Insurance Diploma from the West African Insurance Institute (WAII), Banjul.
He has participated in many professional reinsurance and technical training programmes including Reinsurance Planning Course in South Africa, Basic Engineering Course in South Africa, Management Development Programme at Cape Town University – 1998 and MR Advance Property Insurance & Reinsurance Programmes in Munich, 2006.

He has over 25 years of insurance practice in Ghana with working experiences with the State Insurance Company of Ghana and Metropolitan Insurance Company Limited (now Hollard).
He has 11 years of experience in reinsurance practice and management with Munich Reinsurance Company’s West African Office in Accra in the roles of Reinsurance Treaty Underwriter and Operational Manager.

Ms. Barbara Beverly Brown
Board Member

Ms. Brown is a senior lawyer with over 16 years experience in corporate law. She specialises in contract drafting, review, negotiation and corporate governance compliance (12 years of which were acquired post call). She has a strong ability to facilitate negotiations and conflict resolution through arbitration with a proven track record of providing businesses with strategic legal advice.

She has impeccable solution finding and problem solving skills, an ability to interpret complex legal issues and provide clear and concise advice to clients. She derives joy in using her experience to safeguard clients' interests and upholding justice. She is committed to delivering result driven solutions. Ms. Brown has been the lead Counsel at Credibilis Unlimited since its inception in December 2015.

With her over 12 years post call experience, she has advised the firm’s clients on regulatory and compliance matters in various sectors such as investment and capital market operations, insurance, banking, reinsurance, hospitality, sports, entertainment, advertising, telecommunication, pension, manufacturing, education, media (print, radio and television), family and property law. She has extensive knowledge in corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance and compliance. She has advised both local and international clients on a wide range of legal issues.

Mr. John Ofosu Awuku
Board Member

John is the Chief executive Officer of Teak Tree Brokerage Limited. Prior to joining Teak Tree, John had some brief periods with Milstreet Capital and Hydefield Capital where he served in management positions. He joined Hydefield from NDK Capital Limited where he rose through the ranks to become the Acting General Manager. He started at NDK as the Portfolio Manager in charge of investments and managing client’s funds. As of the time he was leaving NDK in 2015, Funds under management had grown from an initial value of GH¢ 1million in 2011, to GH¢ 110 million. As the Portfolio Manager, he had the responsibility of initiating the pension unit of NDK which he successfully executed to the point where pension Funds under Management had grown to over GH¢60 million as of the time he was leaving. Before joining NDK he was the Head of the Brokerage Department at Gold Coast Securities Ltd, trading stocks, bonds and Treasuries on the Ghana Stock Exchange.

John holds a license from The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a Broker Dealer representative and from the Ghana Stock Exchange as Registered Securities Dealer (RSD).

He holds an MBA (Finance Option) degree from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Cape Coast.

He holds a post graduate diploma in ACCA financial Management. John has also attended various seminars and workshops among which are Bonds and Gilts trading by Datahouse Net, Lagos Nigeria; Advanced Corporate Valuation by the GSE, Accra and has certificates in the GSE organized courses toward his licensing as a Stock Broker. John has acquired a lot of experience trading equities, bonds and government securities on the Ghana Stock Exchange and in the management of pension fund.
